The fishing has been excellent to end the month of May.

The Salmon, lingcod and Halibut fishing is still excellent. The lingcod fishing will Start to slow in the latter half of June and pick up again in late August.

The Salmon are still biting needle fish patterns on my boat. I did drop an anchovie on Saturday with some success, but the needle fish hotchie was out fishing the anchovie side by a large margin.
We hooked a juvenile pacific octopus this am.

These are interesting creatures to say the least. I manage to catch one or two every season. Some clients choose to release them others take them home to eat. If prepared properly they are very delicious.

We also caught one of the more colorful species of rockfish. The Tiger rockfish. There are 32 different species of rockfish in British Columbia.
I still have have dates available for the 2022 fishing season.
